The confrontation between the Cabinet and the leadership of "Naftogaz" began due to the fact that the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman did not like the high salaries of the Board. In response to this KOBOLEV said that to appoint a salary — it is exclusively the authority of the Supervisory Board of the company, and later announced that he would not resign from office.
"With regard to the Supervisory Board. He has made proposals to sign a new contract on new terms, which are quite close to what I needed. This is one of the first adequate proposals that received the government from the Supervisory Board of "Naftogaz". Going to speak to finalize a decision", — quotes the words of the Premier edition.
According Groisman, in the conditions of contract should be made not only about the salary.
He stressed that the leadership of "Naftogaz" shall from 1 January 2020 to ensure proper functioning of gas transportation system of Ukraine through unbundling (a division of the company and the sale of GTS to foreign companies. — Ed.) and the extension of the contract on gas transit.
In addition, according to the Prime Minister, another condition should be the growth of gas production.
Informed the Supervisory Board of the NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine" the Cabinet recommended the re-appointment of Andriy Kobolyev the Chairman of the Board of the company at least a year.
