In the Donetsk region tomorrow, March 17, will close the checkpoint of entry-departure Novotroitsk. PPC won't work a day due to reconstruction, reports a press-state frontier service service.

"KPVV Novotroitskoe in connection with the reconstruction will not be the admission of citizens and vehicles across the line of demarcation," - said in the message.

It is noted that PPC already installed new modules for holding passport and fiscal control, completed the construction of hiding places and shelters-storage of persons crossing the line of demarcation.

"To perform an important share of these works, namely the installation already mounted structures, connecting them to electricity and water planned for installation hazardous work involving heavy machinery. Therefore, according to the decision of the Commander of the joint forces on Sunday will be suspended for the implementation of border crossing procedures in one day. This is the minimum time necessary for carrying out dangerous electrical work in crowded places," – said the Agency.

In the state border service urged citizens to be understanding to temporary inconveniences and consider this information when planning their trips.

Earlier, the OSCE special Representative in the trilateral contact group on the situation in Eastern Ukraine, Martin Sajdik called on the parties to the conflict to take urgent measures to improve the throughput of crossing points on the line of contact.
