In the near future in Ukraine will be blocked by the new Internet sites that threaten national security. On 11 February, the TV channel ICTV said the Head of the Department of counterintelligence protection of state interests in the field of information security SBU Alexander Klimchuk.

According to him, Russia is investing heavily in the development of networking Internet sites that rebroadcast the propaganda of ideas, and used for such purposes, the social network.

"Last year was blocked by about two thousand of fake accounts (in social networks - ed.) was filed for sanctions of about 200 Internet sites that promoted the Russian ideology," said Klimchuk.

The representative of the SBU stated that this year allocated another 100 sites that will soon be blocked.

He also stressed that, according to the Agency, the Russian intelligence services prepare powerful attacks before the elections in Ukraine and during the elections themselves, which can be aimed not only at CEC, but also on "any critical infrastructure, such as transport, communication, Finance and energy".

According to Klimchuk, these actions can negatively affect the electoral process, however, Ukraine is ready to respond effectively to cyberthreats.

We will remind, in may of last year the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree, which provides for the blocking of access to Russian social networks, websites Mail.Ru Group and Yandex, as well as to the number of channels.
