The leader of the "Opposition platform For life" spoke about his plan for Donbass

Лидер «Оппозиционной платформы — За жизнь» рассказал о своем плане для Донбасса

The head of the political Council of the "Opposition platform For life" Viktor Medvedchuk said that the negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in the Donbass should take into account not only the interests of Ukraine and its citizens, but the territories uncontrolled by Kiev, and the people living there. On 12 March, reported the website of the TV channel NEWSONE

Public demand for a peaceful solution to the conflict in the Donbass in the Ukraine is very large. However, none of the politicians of the first three vying for the presidency, no peaceful settlement plan in the East of the country.

Although direct negotiations with representatives of Donbass prescribed in the Minsk agreements, the appeal of Medvedchuk in modern Ukraine looks like an act of rare political courage.

"When we talk about the peace plan which I proposed, we should proceed from the negotiation platform and those interests that satisfy not only Ukraine, but uncontrolled territory and people who live in these uncontrolled territories. I know the opinions of these people", — quotes the words of the policy publication.

According to Medvedchuk, his peace plan has a chance of success, as it considers the opinion of the people of Donbass and is based on the analysis of the situation in the region.

For people in the area, according to the politician, need to guarantee security, protection of constitutional rights and freedoms, the opportunity to participate in political life, the right to the use of language, religious and linguistic identity.

Earlier, the founder of "the Opposition platform For life" and the candidate in presidents of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko said, on what compromise it is possible to go with the Donetsk and Lugansk National Republics.
